We are looking for an experienced scientist who likes to work with people and wants to be part of a team that brings innovative technologies to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry! Working closely with the Field Sales Reps, our Field Support Scientists provide technical expertise in cell-based and enzymatic assays for high throughput screening in drug discovery. The primary duty is to demonstrate, adapt, and troubleshoot our assays in customer laboratories. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable being the technical expert in the field and will have the ability to be a trusted partner for our customers as it relates to these reagents and related applications.
Successful candidates will have:
BS/MS/PhD in cell biology, protein biochemistry or related life science area.
Minimum 3 years at the bench lab experience and proven knowledge and understanding of drug discovery applications in cell biology and protein biochemistry in a life science or pharmaceutical setting.
Two plus years of demonstrated experience working effectively with customers.
Hands on experience with automated liquid handlers and direct experience automating new assays.
Ability to design and troubleshoot scientific problems related to cell-based reporter and enzymatic assays and assay miniturization.
Ability to discuss fundamentals, principles and technical theory of experimental design, techniques and results in a concise and professional manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability & desire to travel 75%.
