DESCRIPTION
With more than 15 years of experience CyBio US Inc. develops, produces and sells technology platforms for the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical industries. CyBio US Inc. is currently seeking an In-house and Field Service Engineer. The candidate will be responsible for providing field service, technical support, and basic operator training to CyBio US Inc. customers throughout the U.S. (primarily in New England) as well as in-house service, repairs and testing of instruments and parts. The position includes maintenance of the CyBio US Inc. warehouse; assisting in shipping, receiving, and inventory control. This is a great opportunity to work in a very customer-focused environment supporting a robust and innovative product line.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1) Performs the on-site installation, preventive maintenance and repair of CyBio US Inc. systems within specified timelines and in accordance with standard operating procedures. Instructs customers and new service personnel in the operation and maintenance of the system and provides telephone technical support when needed.
2) Performs in-house service, repair and testing of customer, demo, and loaner instruments and parts.
3) Assists in the maintenance of the CyBio US Inc. warehouse that includes: shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
4) Increases Service revenue by promoting Service Contracts to assigned customers.
5) Demonstrates professional, prompt and courteous support/service to the customer. The engineer must believe in the philosophy “Customer is always right” and be able to communicate with the Applications / Service Manager any customer related issues. He/she must ensure and maximize customer satisfaction towards CyBio’s product line and service.
6) Travels (including overnight travel) when required to accomplish the completion of a project or service call. Is readily available when called upon to travel.
7) Follows company guidelines regarding documentation of all field service operations as well as required departmental and company reports.
8) Performs in-depth troubleshooting and analysis of CyBio’s instrumentation, reports failures and recommends solutions to insure that the company can identify emerging failure trends.
9) Works effectively both individually and in a team environment.
10) Provides support for Trade Shows that may at times include weekends.
11) Maintains the company vehicle and property to comply with CyBio’s internal policies.
12) Maintains an accurate spare parts inventory.
13) Attends instrument training when required at CyBio’s training facility in Germany or company headquarters in Woburn, Massachusetts.
