MANAGER STRATEGIC MARKETING Ultracentrifugation or High Performance Centrifugation

Manages the worldwide strategic vision and direction for the (ultracentrifugation -- or -- high performance centrifugation) business. This includes effective market/industry analysis, strategic plan development, and accountability for successful implementation of the plan in all markets and geographic regions. Responsible for defining products, services, support required to serve the market and achieve strategic plan financial goals; accountable for business leadership to the development/technical team in development of products/services. The incumbent is accountable for achievement of the (ultracentrifugation – or – high performance) global operating plan; including revenue, profit, inventory and overall operating income goals; global leadership to commercial operations for achievement of operating plan. Provides business/market leadership to key constituents: supply chain management, quality, and technical support. Responsible for guiding marketing activities worldwide including research, communications, marketing processes, product marketing, and applications marketing support; oversees product positioning, pricing strategies, product commercialization and launch strategies; market research and product obsolescence planning. Manages strategic OEM partnerships; participates in business development negotiations and due diligence for potential acquisitions and partnerships.

Establishes operational objectives and assignments, and delegates assignments to departmental staff
Develops resourcing strategies, allocates budgets, staff, tools and specialized support necessary for cost-effective operations
Responsible for hiring/firing/disciplinary decisions affecting employees
Recommends or terminates external resources (contractors)
Develops and monitors operating budget
Participates in departmental, division, corporate strategic and tactical planning processes
Communicates Product Planning and Strategic Marketing’s status, issues to executive management, users and staff
Adheres to policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience
Requires 10 Years of Related Work Experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and/or Business.
MBA Preferred but not required.
