My lab recently acquired a beckman biomek 2000, and the question was brought up if we could use it for high throughput screening of RNAi. It looks like it could work. My only reservation is that the pipeting ability seems a little crude. All the diluters take disposable tips, but they are all fixed. i.e. they cant pipett independently. And there looks to be limited liquid sensing.
Had anyone ever used the Biomek 2000 for RNAi screening?
